Hendry Wijaya, a young pianist from Indonesia, first attracted attention in 1996 when he won the Artists International's "Young Artist Piano Award" and made his critically acclaimed New York Recital debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. "Hendry Wijaya may well be one of the greatest pianists to come out of Indonesia today", says the Indonesian Observer. Hendry began his musical training at the age of two with his mother. He gave his first public performance at the age of four that was broadcast on RRI, Radio Republic of Indonesia. At the age of six, Hendry joined the Junior Original Concert (JOC); a group of composers for gifted children under the age of fifteen, through competitive auditions from Yamaha Music Foundation. At the age of twelve Hendry obtained the highest grade eight piano diploma from the Royal Schools of Music-London. A few years later, he was awarded an Advanced Certificate and the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (L.R.S.M.) Diploma in piano performance with highest distinction from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, which consists of the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Royal Northern College of Music and Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. He was chosen to play in master classes given by world-renowned artists such as, Lillian Freundlich, Peter Frankl, Charles Rosen, Michael Ponti, Paul Badura-Skoda and Robert Weirich, among others. In 1991, a scholarship from the Boston Conservatory of Music brought Hendry to the United States. A year later he was invited to study with renowned pianist, Constance Keene, at Manhattan School of Music as the recipient of Dora Zaslavsky Koch piano scholarship. He was awarded a Bachelor of Music degree at the age of nineteen, followed by a Master of Music two years later. Since then he has been performing actively throughout the United States and in his native country both as soloist and chamber musician. His performances have been broadcast widely on television and radio. Hendry was the recipient of the LeBauer Scholarship and the Baldwin Piano Award at the Eastern Music Festival. The following year he returned as a soloist with the EMF Orchestra. Also, Hendry was invited to join the Aspen Music Festival, where he was a scholarship student of Herbert Stessin, Chairman of the Piano Faculty at Juilliard. His special interest in chamber music led to his studying with such outstanding teachers as Jeanne Baxtresser, Sylvia Rosenberg, Frank Morelli, and Linda Chesis. In May 2002, Hendry Wijaya became the youngest recipient from Indonesia to receive the Doctor of Musical Arts degree, when he graduated from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. He is a former piano faculty member at the Stecher and Horowitz School of the Arts. In addition to his position as the Music and Choir Director of the Wantagh Memorial Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, he also serves on the piano faculty at the Music Consortium of Long Island. David Phillips is a concert pianist who regularly performs and teaches in New York City. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and the Juilliard School in New York City.

Mr. Phillips recently traveled to Yerevan, Armenia on a tour sponsored by the U.S. State Department where he made a debut appearance with the Armenian Philharmonic performing the Grieg Piano Concerto. He also gave a solo recital where he performed J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations at Komitas Chamber Music Hall and taught Master classes at the Sayat Nova Music Academy.

Recent appearances include performances with The Chicago Symphony, The Detroit Symphony, The San Antonio Symphony, The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and The St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. On February 7th he performed at a solo recital on the Trinity Concert Series in New York City. In May 2005 Mr. Phillips traveled to Croatia and was soloist with the Dubrovnik Symphony, performed a solo recital and led master classes in Zagreb, Croatia.

On October 3rd, 2005 David Phillips will give a New York City recital on the Donnell Library Concert Series then on December 4 of 2005 he will be a soloist with the Key West Pops Orchestra in Key West, Florida under Vincent Zitto, performing Gershwin's Concerto in F. He will be performing a solo recital on the Old First Concert Series in San Francisco on April 28, 2006 and making a solo appearance with the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Michael Morgan.

He will perform again with the Dubrovnik Symphony in September of 2006 and then do a 10 city concert tour of Croatia and make appearances in Slovenia with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Georgia, and Kiev. Immediately following these he will travel to Israel to give a series of recitals organized by Monica Fallon Artists Management who represents Mr. Phillips in Israel. Plans are also in motion for a concert tour of Australia, New Zealand and the entire Asian Pacific region in 2007 co- sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Australia and organized by Weaver Artist Management.

Future concert engagements include several recitals in Ann Arbor, Michigan; a solo appearance with the Detroit Symphony; The San Antonio Symphony; San Francisco Symphony and Santa Cruz Symphony, as well as concerts in the U.K., Europe, Canada and South America.
